Okay, so maybe it is lessening my odds of winning (which are pretty darn good) but I wanted to share this with my Fab40 friends. Feathermaye wrote in her personal blog about a contest she entered, and I followed the link. There are actually 50 different contests (all giving away the same 6k goodie package) running semi-simultaneously. All but a few are still open for entries. Go [Link Removed]to find out more. I have entered everyone I am technically capable of. They all have different contest rules, and some require creating animation or videos.
Our family could really use some of those computers, and it would be so fun to be able to give some of it away. I am so very impressed by the principle that HP is trying to drive home. Just as we have talked of paying it forward on Fab40 - HP is encouraging that kind of thinking (and generoulsy funding the effort through mega prize packages.) I have 'connected' with several of the other bloggers, and Hannah even got a soap order out of the deal. :)

    • It’s absolutely exhausting to try and enter them all, lol.

I've entered two, and am leaving it at that. I heard about [Link Removed] on twitter and came across one more that seemed doable.

I’ve checked them all out, even if I haven’t entered them. They each have different requirements, but ultimately all require that you explain how you would share the $6000 prize package (which truly includes more computer equipment than one person could ever rightfully use).

I’ve seen a lot of entrants who have spread themselves thin and actually missed a piece or two of the required stuff from contest to contest, so in the end I decided to leave it at the two that seemed the simplest. I didn’t want to stress myself out over worrying if I’d gotten it right. If I’m destined to win it, I have to believe my two little entries will be enough. happy

You can [Link Removed] to read my first entry. We had to tell how we had made a difference in someone else's life, and how we would continue to do so if we won.

My second entry is shorter and more direct, simply explaining in 250 words or less what we would do with the prizes. You can find that one [Link Removed] .

      Good luck Dee Dee!

If anyone else enters, be sure and let us know so that we can check it out and comment for you!

    • I also found the Stop,Drop, and Blog one which seemed pretty simple. I may be one of those that missed something. I have been up really late the past few nights. (Cold, empty beds aren’t very inviting.) Some of them have ridiculous requirements, but others are pretty easy. It can’t hurt to try!
