There was a blog So tired of being neededon here yesterday from Jankand it was about doing for everyone in her family and not having time for herself and losing her sense of self along the way. I know we all feel that way at some point. There were so many great responses to her post but the one I liked best was from Fabulousvalerie01It said this:
I am glad you got some time. It feels good when that happens. My friend is a massage therapist. Last month i got a massage for an hour. The house was quite just me and the therapist. i am going to get them every month. I had to take time for myself, I was so emotionally drain. I use to keep my phone on all night. I turn my phone off now at 9pm. I go in the guest room and read a book. I give myself at least an hour to myself or more or until i fall asleep and I lock the bedroom door. Thank goodness for locks! Lol  

So after reading Jank’s blog and Valerie’s response I am going to do a new 21 day challenge.
my new challenge is going to be to turn off the phone, computer, tv, and family at 9pm and go read or meditate for an hour. I also am going to add a massage at the end of the 21 days as a reward for completing this.
For me this would begin tomorrow Monday June 14th and go thru until July 4th. I realize that there is a holiday weekend involved so you can add a few days on if you can’t stick to it over that weekend.

Is anyone interested in joining me?
