Okay, I’m just learning my way around Fabulously40.com!  Looks like fun.

I’m going through that wonderful phase of life known as almost-in-menopause-but-my-body-can’t-figure-it-out.  Holy cow. Almost like puberty in reverse only my boobs aren’t shrinking. Yet.  

I need to exercise and lose weight and keep my sanity, so I’m hoping to blog here about the joys of turning “over 40“.

Seriously, nobody told me 51 would feel this young. I remember my grandparents at this age and I thought they were as old as dirt!  

I actually have a free-standing blog at [Link Removed] that I have been writing for three years. It's about my life and times as an ER nurse.

And, I've been a nurse for thirty years.  Yikes, I don't feel old enough to have been anything for thirty years! : D

I’m 51, married 29 years, have three kids, ages 27, 24 and 18, with the youngest leaving for college in four weeks. My favorite saying is “Freedom is just another word for no kids left at home!“!  : D  

I’m studying online to obtain my BS degree in nursing (I have an AA now) with a goal of a PhD by the age of sixty.

I’m excited to find a place where women can share and support each other and trade information.  

Lord knows I can use some and hopefully have some to share.
