OK...you obviously see that I’m still wearing my Santa hat. That’s because I still feel the Christmas spirit! Last week, I received the most awesome Christmas gift when I got to become an eyewitness to history. I attended the Inauguration of President Obama as a correspondant for my local radio station.
The experience was nothing short of spectacular!
President Obama has ignited a spirit of re-connection that I have never seen before.
You know, it’s funny but I was a John McCain supporter in 2000 and actually struggled with my decision during the early days of the election—until SARAH PALIN was put on the ticket. She offended me with her “I’m just a hockey mom and a red neck from Alaska.” She made no effort to connect with me as a African-American mom. But no big deal now.
I just ask that you indulge me for a few more days as I continue to enjoy my Christmas present and I promise to remove the hat and get on about the business of being a Fab40 Baby Boomer Diva.
