Have you ever experienced cyber stalking or bullying? Or do you know someone who has been or is a victim?

The advantages of the internet are clear - for information, through social media and in many other amazing ways. Sadly, the dangers of our cyber reality are more than too clear for those who fall victim to ill use of the internet.

During the past years, there has been a growing awareness about how children and teens  can be endangered, as sexual predators have expanded to using the internet to lure their victims. Cyber criminality and terrorism are also threats which governments have had to deal with.

Cyber life surpasses our traditional national states, enabling criminal activity to go beyond national borders, yet with little international legislation to govern and protect against it.  

Stalkers have thus been given new tools to use in their pursuit to control others, spread fear and even ruin personal and professional lives. They do so at little risk of legal persecution, even though they can inflict harm which often is far greater than traditional stalkers ever could dream of accomplishing.  

I am currently doing research about cyber stalking and bullying. The research will be used as a fundament for a documentary film and a book on the subject. In order to really illustrate how devastating it can be to become a victim of cyber criminality and how powerless individuals are due to lack of international legislation, I would like to hear YOUR story!
