I'm a great believer in fate and kismet where people come into your life to inspire and make you think outside the box.
They have arrived for a reason and they are there to inspire you, get your mojo back and kick your backside to go out and improve and do your thing........
Fabulous 40 did that for me – this site has provided me with not only some amazing friendships but also made me think about my life and what I'm doing.
So today I go back into retailing with the UK's first shopping portal aimed at the fabulous woman over 40 – I cover fashion, beauty, health and fitness. All the beauty products are tried and tested and all opinions are honest and not PR fluff or advertisers hype.

I have just visited your website and it’s one I’ll be using. I’m not normally someone who goes for this type of site but I love the concept of the comparison of different types of clothes eg black trousers, white shirt etc. I think this is a brillaint idea and will help keep women of a certain maturity sane!! I was having to buy some black trousers recently and even in one shop alone got worn out comparing prices and styles. OK you can’t try them on over the internet (if you could invent that little app it would be good!)so I really hope this venture does you proud.

PS How about an item for stylish larger ladies. I’m fed up with fat-lady clothes,and although there are plenty of ‘normal’ clothes in my size they don’t always suit - eg I don’t want to wear sleeveless tops or above knee skirts ( and believe me no-one would want me to wear them) and try as I half heartedly do, I just can’t seem to lose the pounds these days.

@Timbuktu I tried to think like a customer so hence the price comparisons and yes I will be showing larger sizes as I have so many friends in the fashion industry so will show case their work and most do 16+ and they are not tents or huge tunics but more snappy outfits.
The whole idea was a mixture of people on here saying where do you look and also seeing no one else spoke to us and yet we are the dominant force in the UK market place ..

I just had a thought...ever considered a ‘virtual makeover‘?
Someone sends in 2-3 pics of themselves in their ‘fav’ outfit and then members of the online community make suggestions on more stylish choices?
Could be fun...if you’ve got a thick skin...

Congrats on your new business! It is so needed. I just went shopping today and found clothes that my Grandmother would wear and clothes that I would have worn in my 20’s, not much in between.
