I've just returned home from a weekend trip to Maryland where I participated in a book signing and a radio interview as a part of my "I'm still Hot...it just comes in Flashes now!" summer book tour.

The best part of the trip was getting to spend time---though LIMITED---with my wonderful husband who still lives there while waiting on his house to be sold so he can move here with me in NC. For the past six years, we've been commuting back and forth (he's done it about 90 percent of the time) in order to be together. We thought once we got married last year that everything would work out and we'd be living under the same roof but due to some unforseen circumstances, it didn't work out the way we planned it so we remainin this commuter marriage.

Today as I was preparing to leave I tried not to show any emotion but I couldn't help it. It's always so hard to say goodbye to the man I love.

As I was driving down the highway, "Every time you go away" came on the radio.

"Every time you go away, you take a piece of me with you..."I lefta piece of my heart there today.
