Well...  I’m still struggling with some things here - but I wanted to let some of you know that my first two days at my new job went very well...  The president greeted me by my first name as soon as I walked in day one... I’ve got three more days to learn a ton of information before I go to Michigan to meet with a new client...  It’s a challenge and I think I’m going to love it...

Thanks again, to so many of you, for your support...

    • Anne Marie,
I am so happy that things are going well at work. I was posting on your other blog while you were posting this. Please don’t let a few bad apples spoil the whole Fab40 barrel for you. Ask yourself who is in control? If someone is allowed to keep you away, then you are allowing it. Those of us who have our big girl panties on don’t hand over the reins, do we?
I think you’ll find this happens on any and all internet social networking sites.
editing to clarify... I am a member of several groups on yahoo. Most of them require approval before joining. Even if a private group clearly states what everyone in the group believes, and that the group is there to encourage one another, not debate... guess what? There will be people who join the group who don't agree. Maybe they come for a fight, or maybe just because they are curious. Regardless, I have never been on any group, even very small narrowly focused ones, that didn't have some be offensive, and others get offended. If it happens IRL, we just don't sit with them at lunch. Here at Fab40, and elsewhere, we don't have that option. But we do have the option of not engaging. That doesn't mean we walk away though. There are plenty of other people at the lunch table to sit with, right? :) I would be very sad to see you leave. I like to tell myself I already have a friend in Denver when we move. That is, when your aren't jetsetting with your new job. :)

    • I just edited my comment after re-reading. It sounded as if I was talking about what goes on here. Actually I was referring to some of the yahoo groups I am on.
