I just got an email from the VP saying they enjoyed meeting me also... but she needs a few more days to get organized with open positions.... wants to talk again on Monday...  I know - at least it’s not a “no“... but it’s now six more stinkin’ days to wait...  Oh swear words!

If God is teaching (more - AGAIN - STILL) about patience, He’s really wearing on my nerves...  and I’m planning on having a serious face-to-face with Him about this one day...

    • Based on what you said earlier, I think she is overwhelmed at the moment. Or, maybe there is some secret training HR people go through. :) Clay had the same experience when he got his new job offer. And at the end of the day, the excuse was the same. Could it be a tactic they use to give you the impression that they don’t need you as much as you do them? I don’t know, but I don’t know anyone in the white collar world who has gotten the offer before they walked out the door (of the first interview anyway.) And most of the time, the story sounds supisciously similar.
Think of yourself as a beautiful diamond Anne Marie. The refining process God puts us through to make us sparkle more brilliantly is not always comfortable. I know you are going through a rough time right now. Hang in there! I am praying that God will wrap his arms around you and give you a peace that passes understanding. Remember not to focus on the ‘why’ but focus on ‘who‘. Who is in control? Patience is NOT a fun virtue to develop. It is one of my weakest areas. I want it yesterday! :) I have learned that being anxious about it doesn’t make it happen any faster. The whole “watched pot never boils” adage is so true.
Come join me for a ladybug picnic while you wait! :) I am going to have to forbid myself to get on the computer tomorrow until the house is clean. These kamikaze beetles are quite a nuisance. They flock in to get out of the cold, but they die anyway. You can read more here

    • AnneMarie,
      Girl, God just called me!
He asked me to tell you to hang in there! He said he’s been busy, what with Christmas just around the corner and he has to find a birthday present for Jesus. He just needs a bit of time.

    • Well, I just got some inside information...  I talked myself OUT of the initial job I interviewed for because I was so honest... HOWEVER, I made such a good impression that, word has it, they are creating a position for me...  So I was told to BE PATIENT and hang in there...  I’m trying... I’m trying... I’m trying...  But instead of baking cookies (which I don’t need around here) I’m going to go meet Princessellen at the pub...  Wohoo... I’m getting to meet a Fabulously40 Friend!

      All ya’ll are the BESTEST!!!

    • My Pastor was trying to explain that when I ask God for patience he doesn’t give it to you just like that.  What He does is put trials and tribulations in your path that require you to learn patience in order to deal with them. Sounds like that is what might be happening to you though I hope not.  I’m still thinking positive and claiming the position for you.
