I have a love-hate relationship with food!! If I buy the healthy stuff and actually take time to cook it, everyone raves about the “gourmet meal” and I feel as though I am doing something good for my family.
It just gets so hectic some days, that I just don’t have the energy to cook! With soccer practice and basketball and baseball... tutoring after school... it is so easy to order in or go through the drive-through!
I feel so guilty...thinking of all the fat and calories I’ve just consumed and then exercise like crazy for days afterward!
My biggest downfall is potato chips ( especially Utz Brand and the curly ones)...if they are in the house, they will find a way to my mouth...LOL

Having a weak moment..thinking about what to make for dinner and being it is FRIDAY... looks like it will be Pizza tonight with a healthy side of Salad..LOL!
potatoes - in all their forms - this week I have fallen off the wagon big time with loads of French fries ...OMG

I am fine if I don’t buy the junk and more then ever it is just out of pure laziness that I will give in to the little ones and go through the drive-thru...
They love when I cook! I just need the motivation! I use to watch the Food Network Channel all the time and learned a lot!
Maybe I just need a little inspiration and back away from the potato chip bag...LOL
Has anyone tried Doritos Sweet and Spicy? If they are in the house they are in my mouth!
I flip-flop between healthy and junkie all the time. I have a bad habit of not eating until I’m on the brink of passing out. ![]()

haha! I can’t believe I just saw this! Not 5 minutes ago I was helping myself to another piece of hard candy and thinking “I’m such a junk food junkie!“!!! haha!
I eat very healthy meals, and mostly healthy snacks. BUT, and that’s a BIG BUT, I like me some junk food!!!

I love chocolate. A lot. So much that I give it up every year for Lent because that is the hardest temptation. Before I give it up for 40 days this year, I’m getting in as much as I can. ...
Jeanie- I really don't like Doritos, but when my daughter introduced me to these lovelies she created a monster ! Careful though, make sure you have plenty to drink when you get started!

Marion~ seems the only time I crave chocolate is when I am eating something salty like popcorn at the movies... I have to have my raisinettes!!
I am munching on peanuts at this moment and waiting for the Pizza to be delivered...I know it’s bad...will make up for it somehow...lol

Any salty snacks....chips anything but plain...:) I can’t resist chips...big weakness, and asian food even a bigger weakness the more spicy the better!
My weakness is gummies, coke and bear ones. I am also a chocoholic. It’s all good. Have to over endulge, life is too short not to. LOL At least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Karyn~Peanuts are not bad for you in moderation for that matter, nothing is really bad for you in moderation. The key word being, MODERATION! LOL
Chocolate is my weakness, but I make sure it is in moderation. (Never any extras around here! LOL I make sure it is portioned out so I only get one serving of whatever.)
I have used positive self talk to overcome most of my foodie addictions. Potatoes = 1/4 sugar in your body when you digest them... so that is an easy visual. Fried foods now repulse me as I envision thunder thighs with lots of cellulite. Train your brain, and you can overcome most anything. I make sure to have a mental talk with myself when I go to the store. If I don’t break down then, I am good. I am a sucker for sales though, and Sam’s had Caremlita bars marked down to 2.00 per box. I limit us to one pan per week - which gives me one bar. :) I don’t WANT to train my brain to give up chocolate. LOL
happymomma~ thanks for the visual on the thunder thighs!! Although I have never had them, I will be thinking of them with every bite!!
Moderation is the key to over indulgence!!

jeanie, you are probably right about the hard candy, it’s not junk food...it’s just junk!!! hahaha!
