Love it

Somehow, on Twitter (Carine50), several local coffee lovers/sites have found me.  I love that, because as many of you know (by now)I am a complete coffee “hound“.

I love that aroma.  I love the taste.  I love that it helps me wake up.  Just ask my older grandsons-when they‘re spending the night they know NOT to really ask me anything until they notice I’ve sucked down that second cup and then they ask, “Can we talk to you now grandma?”

It’s not a problem, I’m not addicted.  Just don’t speak to me until I’ve had the necessary dose.  That’s for your own good.  I’m fine.

One of my new “friends” asked if I wrote about coffee.  That did make me think!  I include coffee grounds in one of my BBQ rubs.  I add leftover coffee to my brownies and even have a breakfast cookie that has been laced with java.   I’ve added it to chili, mixed it into BBQ sauce, add some to plain coconut milk yogurt and really wish there was an affordable dairy-free mocha ice cream I could indulge myself with at times.

I love it hot.  Even here in AZ in the middle of August.  I love it iced.  Just don’t serve it to me cold or luke warm. Oh-the-tragedy and horrors of that particular taste sensation.

Favorite brew?  I have to admit I don’t like some of the “old” companies, but I do like flavored versions!  My husband and I love Cherry Chip swirl and chocolate raspberry.  But Emeril’s and Newman’s Own have a great bold flavor as well.

In fact dinner tonight has coffee in the rub for our baby back ribs:  equal coffee, brown sugar and just a bit of cinnamon.  My ribs are enjoying a marination time as I’m typing.

Yeah!
