Back when the swine flu broke out big, a young man at our Church became one of the kids that come down with it.. He was bad.. had the swine flu, went into congestive heart failure, had pnemonia (sp) and had to be put into a drug induced coma so his body could heal and survive..Jesse is a freshman in high school where my children go to school...
Jesse’s mom is a bus driver at the school district, and used ALL her vacation time and personal time up being at the hospital ( 1 1/2 hours away.. ) everyday.. When the parapro’s and other busdrivers asked if they could give here thier unwanted days the answer was no.. ( sad isnt it!)

Well, the Jubior high kids wanted to help as did the high school kids.. in our schoold district the children are NOT allowed to hear hats of any kind in school.. so one day they had ” hat day ” were staff and students could pay a dollar and wear a hat all day..well, the junior high raised over $400.00 and the high school raised over $700 dollars!

Which was joyfully given to Jesse’s mom who was in tears! Thank God for the children of this world who have care and compassion in a world where it seems to be fading fast!

Well, yesterday after Church, my 11 year old daughter said to me... ” Momita, when we get back to school on monday, im going to Mrs. O‘connors office to see if we can do a fund raiser for Haiti, like we did for Jesse! We can have a bake sale oneday, a hat day, and a backwards day where we wear our cloths backwards.. ”

Mind you as shes speaking i have tears in my eyes and see that spark in her that LOVES to help others.. in my darkest moments with my children, when i feel like there is no hope, and life is going to be the way it is, God gentley shows me, He is still here with me! AMEN!

So, i tell her i think its an AWSOME idea, and she says ” We need to be Jesus to others in the world momita, and we can do it this way!”

Lord, thank you for choosing ME to be the momita of Stephanie, Billy and Maretta! You could have chosen anyone, but chose me.. THANK YOU!

Love it
