    • Hi,
My son is ADHD and has made great progress since starting medication. I am also a school psychologist and work with kids with this all the time.

    • Thanks for the reply, my son is also on meds, but I’m not sure if I’m going to keep him on them..
He is doing ok in school, but needs major help with his letters..He has bad mood swings, late in the afternoon,
and I just don’t understand why. We have even lowered his dose, and it did help for a few weeks..
I would like to look into a change in his diet.
      Thanks for the reply again.

      Mary

    • Hi Mary.. i have 2 children with ADHD, and 1 with ADD.. my oldest ( the one that is ADD ) when she was diagnosed in High School with it, and i started her on meds, she was on the NATIONAL HONOR ROLL Junior and Senior year. She is 22 now, and in college, and has stopped taking her meds, and is on the Deans list.. for her, i think she just needed to learn stratgies to stay focused..

My 2 younger children ( 9th grade, and 5th grade ) are sever ADHA...during the school year they can not go without thier meds.. grades suffer badly. i do take them off thier meds during the summer.. they are on meds that you can do that with..

Yes, diet plays a roll in it, however, i can be honest and tell you, i can not read all lables on things, as i just do not have the time.. i wish i did! i am SLOWLY changing our eating habits, and it seams to help abit..

we can get through this together!

      Blessings
      Linni
