Was it only yesterday that I held my bundle of joy for the first time after I gave birth?
Could it really be that 23 years flew by? Is the bride next to me really my precious child that I held close to my chest so many years ago promising to never let go? Am I really going to walk that isle and give her away?

As I looked at my husband who tried to contain his tears and emotions I knew I had to be strong, but as hard as I tried, the tears rolled down both of our cheeks. Yes, they were happy tears, and yes, we both knew that she was in love with her best friend, that the guy waiting for her at the end of the isle will do anything to make her happy, and we knew our baby will be safe.

In a blink of an eye I remembered first baby steps, first spoken words, countless hugs and kisses, birthdays, graduations, celebrations, and tears of happiness and sometimes sorrow. Standing next to me was our daughter, all grown up, but with the same baby face as forever embedded in my mind, with the same huge brown eyes that now sparkled with tears as she too tried hard to hold them back. We were coming to the end of the isle, with all eyes upon us, with hands that were obviously shaking we lifted the veil and kissed our baby, while whispering prayers of happiness for the life ahead.

The groom, looking a bit pale with emotions as strong as ours walked the few steps and took her away, as we followed them to stand under the Chuppah I found myself smiling. I knew my baby was in good hands, and I felt that I had nothing to worry about.  As a new chapter of her life began, the party started.

Stay tuned for more pictures and details on how to plan a destination wedding in less than three months.
