Alive, fourty-something and living in Vegas, but no, I don’t go down to the strip or casinos very often. Mostly I do what every other single mom or parent does. I go to work, pick up kids, pay for college textbooks, make dinner, and the to-do list never ends.

Although I live in the desert I miss the green of Oregon a great deal, especially the Douglas firs. Vegas has a surreal quality about it and it is a very transitional place. You never know how long your neighbor or new friend or your kids friends are going to be around.

I can’t live here without a minimum of two humidifiers and am thinking about adding one more. But all the water gets sucked out of you when you head out the door here and the summers are hot as a furnace. But I am trying to bloom where I am now planted. My son has just started high school and is happy for once. He hated Vegas at first, in fact for the first year here. Prying him out of his room when we first came here took an act of God. Anyone else deal with moving and middleschoolers? Not fun, is it?

Networking is so vital, would love to hear from single moms or anyone for that matter about educational issues, single parenting issues, or anything else for that matter.

So feel free to contact me and take care of yourself, pampering ourselves is something we should all follow through with.

Anyone care for a spa day?????
