I met a man online once ... and he actually used the line ... You had me at... in his case, he wrote Oriah ... (I had posted in my profile the Invitation written by her) ...

We met in person on my way home one evening ...

We talked about his upcoming award ... and he wanted help with choosing some photos ... sitting with him was like sitting with someone i’ve known all my life ...

i had never met this man before, but i was comfortable ...

it was late ... he asked me to stay ...

oh ... that first kiss ... i would never have believed it had i not been there .. but it was truly like fireworks ...

our hearts beat together ...

what a magical moment ...

ah ... but the next moment ... in the next few days ... he disappeared ... no calls , no e-mail ...  he just disappeared ...

a year ...maybe even two have gone by .. and he sends a message ...

he misses me ... he craves me ...

he apologizes ... he was scared of what we could be together ...

why do men scare of wonder?

being together again ... our hearts haven’t changed ...

i want him ... i want him ... i am scared he’ll up and leave  again ..

do i struggle through? or do find others? do I keep him while i look for others?

    • I would ask him why he never contacted you after this moment. If he responds with something like he was not ready for a relationship, but he is now, tell him that it felt so right for you, and ask him if it did to.

What did he say when he contacted you?

    • Take a chance on love.

Maybe he really did get scarred, men are afraid of commitment, especially when it feels right.

    • OH honey, I say RUN FOR THE HILLS.
Actually, I am sure all of your feelings and his feelings, while together were very real.
      But, come on.
I think an interesting question is are you interested in wondering if he is strong enough for you?
Think of yourself first.  Think of how you want to live your life.

    • All comments are things we need to hear and want to hear, but the comment from reddress and ladybrett is more logical to me, not belittling the other comments, because yes! you can take that chance on love.
I met someone and the chemistry was unbelievalbe between us, I couldn’t have this man. The attraction was there and the desire for each other was there and also was there was someone he had been with for over ten years whom he cared deeply for and so was a significant other I had was there.
So the only thing we can do with each other is find out if our desire would go any further, after knowning this man for three years the furthest we got was a kiss and a few personal touch, we never made it to the bed.
We both have someone that we don’t want to hurt no matter how much we want each other. I decided to let go because I felt that we would never move no furher than the kiss.
Do I thank about this man? Yes!! I do. I care very deeply for him, but I care about me more and can’t put myself through the pain or thought that I will never have him.

    • It is still about choice, I think,
Attraction is easy, sex is easy. What is hard is a relationship.(ahh age)
Listen to your gut, sometimes it is just too good to be true.  What I mean is, attraction and chemestry feels REALLY good but long term is the test.

    • I agree with you ladybrett! In the end I did make a choice and that choice was to think more about me and where this will leave me in the long run, and the choice was to let go because I knew a relationship will never happen between me and this man.
Everyone has to make there own decision and their own choice, my comments was knowing how this person feel and going through a simular situation, I only felt compel to just share!!!
Chemistry plays a big part in a persons life and their choices, it lead to rather “we do a thing or not.” She had both for this guy attraction and chemistry!
If she decides to hook back up with him she’s going to thank about what drew her to this man.
