It also helps to stimulate the development of new and healthier skin cells.

The new Lustra AF Cream still contains 4% hydroquinone for the gradual treatment of skin hyperpigmentation as a result of over-exposure to the sun, the use of oral contraceptives, pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy, or skin trauma. However, it has been reformulated to also include additional sunscreen ingredients.  Sun protection is an essential part of any skin lightening routine as sun exposure can stimulate the production of melanin, resulting in dark patches.  A stable, broad-spectrum s[Link Removed]  is your best friend when it comes to skin lightening.

If you've used Lustra Cream or Lustra AF in the past, it's a good idea to perform a skin patch test with the new version that is available now by applying a small amount to an unbroken patch of skin and waiting 24 hours for any signs of skin irritation.  Once you've determined that Lustra AF is right for you, treatment should be limited to relatively small areas at one time, being careful to apply only to darkened areas.  Using a fine tip makeup brush or cotton swab can help with more precise and targeted application and avoiding the "halo" effect of inadvertently lightening the areas surrounding the dark spots.
