    • I personally don’t follow any trends, I’ve always played with color on my lids, I have tried just about every color imaginable and created a few on my own. As for lips I usually go with a nude, but find that if I’m in a nude in a photo I look washed out no matter how much other makeup I may be wearing.

I think women our age need to be encouraged to try new looks and new colors.

    • Lazy Lola,

Absolutely! I have to admit, recently I have been using myself as a guinea pig, trying every imaginable make up look from smokey eyes to false lashes to lined lips, nude lips, etc. What. I found by in my experiment was this:
      1. Smokey eyes look good, but be careful how dark you go. If any of the shadow happens to melt into the lines aroun the eyes, it looks awful and it really ages me.
      2. False lashes would probably look great if I knew how to put them on, lol..
      3. If you play your eyes up, down play cheeks and lips so eyes stand out.
      4. If you have big, full lips like I do, you don’t need lip liner. Lip liner enhances the lips and makes them appear more shapely and full, therefore those with full lips, in my experiment, can forgo the lipnliner.
      5. Easy on the eyebrows, lol lol. It is great to define them with a pencil, but dont draw them on like it’s Halloween! Just shape and add some color (to hide the gray hee hee).

So far, thats what I have learned. I also recommend going to YouTube tutorials. They are very helpful. I plan on doing an Avon tutorial tracking the results if the new Anew GENICS antiaging formula. I will keep you posted!

      Sonya
