Love it

As I reflect on life as I know it, I am so grateful to God for my life thus far. Yes I have reached that golden stage in life the golden age of 50 and I am loving it. However I do have to deal with the ugly issues of arthritis, but I refuse to allow it get the best of me. I thank God for giving my ancestors good genes, because I have great skin and I don't look my age at all praise be to God!!!!

As I am reminded as how preicous life truly is I often think about the things that God has blessed me with, not just the love of my hubby, children and g-baby, but also friends I have made over the years here on Fab40 as well as in my everyday life. There was a time in my life when you couldn’t get me to go outside the walls of my home without makeup on but now it is so not important to me any longer as a matter of fact the only time I do go all out with the makeup is for a special ocassions or if I’m going to church and there has been times I didn’t wear it to church because I just cry it all off most times anyhow lol.

I do however still wear the false eyelashes I love those lol. They are so much fun and they do enhance my features with or without makeup. They come in all sorts of lengths and designs. Even at the age of 50 I stil lenjoy being a girl!
The only down fall I have with my arthritis is that it has crippled me a bit and I can no longer wear my stillettos like I used to there was a time you see me in only 3 inch stillettos in all colors and designs.

Even though I can’t wear the 3 inch heels I still can wear some 2 or 2-1/2 inch heels. I only wear heels on ocassions as well. I never thought there would come a day where (I) Denise could no longer wear my heels thats all I knew! I have been in heels since the age of 12.

I do still wear my lipstick because my lips are one of my best features lol, I have been told all my life that I have kissable lips lol. I do agree and they are so full. I have so many varieties of lipsticks and glosses it makes no sense, but thats what we girls do lol, we invest in the things we like and I love makeup and being a girl.

I am so blessed to have two wonderful daughters who are self made entrepreneurs and my oldest daughter keeps my hair fly!

No matter what age God blesses us to reach in this life it is always a great feeling just being a girl.

I often think about how my life will be in my 60’s. I pray my health holds up well enough for me to enjoy it just as much as I am enjoying my 50’s. My mother looked great and did well in her 60’s. If I can just melt off some of these unwanted pounds I’m sure my health will be good in my 60’s, this thingy called menopause is no joke but it seems it has calmed itself down with me for now, LOL!!!

I remember me in this photo and I was around the age of 3 and I used to love walking in my moms heels, she was a fashionista in her own right. I came to love wearing lipstick by watching my mom apply hers she used to wear this one color that was a mixture of orange and red and I thought it was one of thee most prettiest colors ever and even in now I remember the color so well and has tried even to this very day to try to find a color that comes close to it and I have found one.

Inspite of all my life trials that tried me, my paitence in life I still stand strong and fabulous!

I thank God for a second chance at marriage, my hubby and I have been together 10 years and I am still just as much on fire for him and he I as we awere when we were dating he brings out the sex kitten in me lol.
We had our ups and downs through our 10 years, and made it through, and we‘re not letting go.

Yes, yes, yes I am a girlie girl, and I love being a girl and I will keep on keeping on as long as life allows me to.

Love it
