When my mentor told me in September he was leaving the Real estate company I have been with since I got in the business in 2007, my first thought was....“What am I going to do without him?” When I expressed as much to him he said...“Come see me in my new office“. I did and it was like putting on your favorite pair of comfy shoes...it just fit. I was anxiously awaiting the invitation to join this non franchise, small town realty with my real estate genius of a mentor. Before I knew it I was walking out of there with a desk of my own and a little extra incentive to sell than I had at the old office. So at 47, I am making a change...a good one, a positive one. After a year where so much was up in the air and everything wasn’t going the way we would have liked it to, I now have a positive place to go to to work with great people, its small and cozy there....like family!

We are

Old World Realty. Our hometowns only real estate office. Our slogan...Old World Values, New World Technology. Large enough to serve you, small enough to know you!

    • Ree, I’m happy for you! It’s been a tough year for you and your family. Maybe this is the fresh start to go along with a new year that you need.

By the way, I asked my husband for his advice on your son’s situation.  He said it may actually be a rule with the sports league and the school itself may be obliged to follow.  He also suggested an appeal with the league and the school board.  He felt very bad for your son. Another thing he said, when he puts policies in place at his school he avoids using the word “will” and instead uses the word “may“.  This leaves things open for evaluating on a case by case basis and avoids having good kids like your son get caught up in the semantics of the rules.
