Y'all my Mamaw and Papaw lived round trip 72 miles from a Walmart. Papaw had lost most of hissight in his right eye and Mamaw couldn't drive, so Papaw drove them back roads to Walmart every Saturday. Now y'all have to know my Mamaw she was a talker I mean she would talk to anyone, any time, bout any thing, you'd leave the room and she'd be talkin and come back ten minutes later she'd still be talkin. Now my Papaw he was kind of a quite man he said what he had to say and thats it. Anyways they was takin their weekly trip to Walmart and my Mamaw talkin awaywas gettin on Papaws nerves. They got to Walmart and she was still yackin away. Papaw went in and got what he wanted and Mamaw followed him around talkin about ever thing under the sun. Papaw had finally had it and told her tohush up he was gettin a headache from her yappin. My Mamaw got mad and hushed. They finished up their business and Papaw went and got in the truck. He heard the door open then close real quick. Papaw took off outta the parkin lot down the road. Mamaw was being real quite still. They got around 20miles from Walmart and Papaw says to Mamaw" old woman you gonna be mad at me all day?" she didn't answer. He then said"well hell I'm sorry say" she didn't say nothin. So Papaw started to get mad cuz she wouldn't talk to him, so he pulled the pickup over and turned to Mamawto make mends, when he turned Mamaw wasn't there. Because he couldn't see out of his right eye he had no idea that Mamaw wasn't sittin there beside him.It turns out Mamaw left her pocketbook in the buggy and went to retrieve it closing the pickup door, so Papaw thought she had got in the pickup. Papaw turned around and traveled20 miles back to Walmart. there stood Mamaw pocketbook in hand in front of WalMartwaitin on him. He pulled up, she got in, she said to Papaw without lookin at him,"don't you ever say nothin again bout my talkin too much ole man." And back home they went, Papaw never said a word.
