The other day, I created a new group called March is Craft Month

From time to time, I like to try different things and thought it might be fun to share them.

Being the Fabulous Women that we are, I’m sure there are many of you that are much more talented than I and would like to invite all of you to share your talents also.

Crafts, I find, are great for displaying ‘something new’ around the house, gift giving and sometimes just to experiment with our creativity.

When I do something new, it’s a morale and confidence builder too.  Not to mention, it’s a great distractor from the everyday things we deal with.  It puts me in a positive zone where personal issues, politics and other sometimes frustrating situations are ‘out of sight, out of mind.’  The Great Escape!

So, even if you don’t think you‘re a ‘crafty’ person, you may find that trying something, may just prove differently.

Another thing I thought of when creating this group is Spring is coming.  I do several craft and demo shows and flea markets throughout the year.

Next week, March 20th, I'm doing a demo show at a local church and I like to make interesting things with my products.  Like, my wax melts, I make melt lollipops, my votives, votive flowers  and some of my larger items, I create different sized baskets.  Just seems to make my table(s) more interesting and make some extra cash to boot.

(Don’t forget yard or garage sales, too!  No space fee for that one).

I’ve seen people take old things they have around the house and bring them back to life in some way or another.

These times are a‘tough for many of us and it’s my belief that we are in for some even tougher times.

Why not take what we have, make them valuable and attractive to someone else where we can put some extra cash in our pockets with as little out of pocket as possible?

One of my goals is to learn to create and upload videos.  So my intent was to have these presented in video here on Fab40.

If you don’t have a video camera or don’t want to go that route, just post instructions with pictures (if possible).

Some errands must get done this morning and then Mike & I are painting our wall going up our steps and hallway, but this afternoon, I will be working on my first votive flower in a while.  I will video it and post it in the March is Craft Month Group  ASAP.

Hope you’ll join in to share your expertise, rate a craft, or learn something fun and new for yourself.

I’m excited!
