I recently attended a Health and Wellness Training in our company, Isagenix. Dr. John Gray, Isagenix member and author of Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus, talked about how to create the brain chemistry of health, happiness and lasting romance.  

In the event, me and my husband had so much fun and so are all the people there. I could tell just watching them respond to John Gray. One lady sitting next to me was laughing so hard she almost fell off her chair.  

John Gray is a remarkable speaker. He has a very good sense of humor. Most of what he talked about is scientific but it wasn’t boring at all. The way he explained it was very plain, simple and very true. Everyone in the audience could relate to what he is talking about.  

So, let me share with you a little bit of what I have learned from John Gray. Generally, it is understanding how men and women gain and loose weight differently. Discovering our moods and relationships greatly affected by the food we eat and how to gain energy and sustain passion for a lifetime.  

Here are some of my favorites.....According to John Gray, the same diet plan may cause a woman to gain weight and a man to lose weight. A man’s diet and not how much he’ve worked is primarily responsible for fatigue at the end of his day. A woman’s diet can contribute more significantly to her feelings of fulfillment than the behavior of her partner. Women require more cuddling and affection and men require more sex to experience healthy brain chemistry. The same exercise program to assist a man is losing weight can inhibit weight loss in a woman. Certain food combinations will put a man to sleep but put a woman in the mood. Skipping breakfast in the morning can contribute to depression and cause weight gain in women, but in men it can create an endorphin high, to be followed by low energy and overeating at the end of the workday.  

There were just too much information but overall it was a very good learning experience. My husband and I with are children, continually live a healthy lifestyle by understanding the importance of health by continually staying in our nutritional cleansing program and understanding having total health and wellness.  

It was an eye opening experience for us. Knowing now we are going through a health crisis. We want to make it a mission to spread the word on how to gain your health back, for ourselves, for our loved ones and for all the people we are going to meet in our lives. You think you are healthy for now but with our exposure to toxic in the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink and bathe, it is everywhere. You will never know what is going on inside your body. One day you just wonder why you are sick when you thought you were eating right and doing all the right things.

    • I really liked what you said about breakfast. I didn’t realize it was a different effect in men and women. I can’t go without breakfast. I just can’t function without having something in the morning. But my husband often skips eating all throughout the day and when he gets home he hits the refrigerator running! He’s ravenous.

      Many years ago I had the priviledge to see Dr. Gray before he even finished his first book. He was new on the scene and the seminar had very few people so it was an intimate setting. What a prince of a man he was! I understand your enthusiasm when you recount the day.
