As you’ve probably read from my previous blogs, my mom passed away in jan 07.  I’m feeling very sad tonight because tomorrow is Easter and it’s also her birthday. She would’ve been 65.  I knew eventually it would be on the same day.  She loved Easter so much, especially the meaning behind it.  Her favorite hymn was “He Lives“.  I remember going to my grandparents church and standing next to her singing our hearts out.  We sang that hymn at her funeral, it was the perfect song.

So when i’m in church tomorrow, i know she’ll be right next to me singing along.

    • Hello Jennifer, I know just what you mean and how you feel I lost my mom Nov.21, 1999 right before Thanksgiving. I miss her during all the holidays because she made each of them special for us and I miss that about her. But as we sit to dine on our Easter meal I will think of her and remember how special they used to be when she was alive, and enjoy it with my family and my traditions I’m taking over from her with my family.

    • She will be right by your side. And she will reside in your heart and memories forever. I’m very sorry for your loss. Two years is not very long ago and I know your heart is still hurting.

May God bless you and give you comfort today and always.

    • It must be hard, I am sorry.  I myself try to focus on that “one day” and that helps me.  God bless.

    • I can sympathize with you very much!  I lost my mother this past Dec. 17th - on my birthday no less and we buirred her on the 24th.  My birthday and Christmas will never be the same again.  But like your mother, my mother LOVED every holiday and never missed decorating and celebrating any of them.  I miss her so much as well but know she is in a great and wonderful place now and someday I will see her again.  Happy Easter
