    • okay...am I reading this correctly???  He was 5 and still breastfeeding.  All of this happened, she got her son back and continues breastfeeding occasionally an 8 year old child??? Maybe it’s me.  WHAT IS RIGHT WITH THIS PICTURE?????  I think it’s ridiculous.  A mother feeds her young until it’s able to feed itself.  He is way beyond able to feed himself.  This is just as Yana has put it....Bizarre!!!

By making a big deal about the mom the important years of youth were partially destroyed for this child on so many levels. Nursing an 8 year not sure. Making a huge embarrassment for both worse!

    • i hate to say it, but i think the mother needs pyscological evalation... instead of being on GOOD MORNING AMERICA, she needs to be sitting in a doctor's office having her head examined... she should know better and i don't blame the system for taking that child, but i do blame them for giving him back to her!!

    • I breast fed both my sons.  The first only for eight weeks and the second until he had two teeth (9 months) and could chomp down.  That was IT for me and I stopped.  By that time he had transitioned to a bottle and sippy cup.  I think nursing a child past the age of two is very strange and not normal.

    • I never breast fed but I do know the reason God gave women breast was to feed babies until they are able to feed and eat on their own.

This is my opinion is someone who gets great enjoyment out of it..and I think it’s sick.  I really don’t care what they do around the world......I think in America...it is unacceptable and I too think it is a form of child molestation.  I guess if he still wants to wet his pants because he’s not ready to be potty trained is acceptable too.

Please.......she needs a major examination of the brain...

    • Very strange. I think this woman needs some mental help.

I’ve known women who breast feed their child until the next one comes along, and I think that is crazy.  But this is beyond crazy!

I breast fed all four of my children, but only until they were eating real food.  I think the longest I nursed any of them was nine months.
