First off, Happy Mother’s Day!!

I can’t believe that my oldest will be 10 this summer.  I have been blessed to have met many different types of moms.  I know stay at home moms and working moms, moms who home-school their kids and moms who don’t, single moms, disabled moms, and moms who have anywhere from one to five kids.

I feel like I have learned something from each of them and that each of them tries to be a great mom in her own way.

My mom was a stay at home mom and disabled and I feel like she was a great mom.  She was a great cook and sewed some beautiful clothes for me when I was a little girl.  I on the other hand, am a working mom, currently working full-time, I don’t sew and I’m not a particulary good cook.  However I do enjoy taking my kids out to places like museums and amusement parks.  This was something my mom was not able to do because of her illness.  My kids are also able to be involved in extra curricular activities.  Kyle was in karate for a number of years and now he’s in a Lego League at his school.  I will probably get Jack involved in something after his kindergarten year.

So it doesn’t matter to me whether moms work or not, whether they home school their kids or not, it just matters that they try to be the best mom that they can and provide for their kids as best as they can.  We all can learn from each other!
