    • Hi Gina

I read on your profile that you‘re experiencing hot flashes and I have a thought. Perimenopause may be the culprit in your lack of motivation. I had a host of issues over the last couple of years and fatigue and lagging motivation were among them.

Lots of support over here for those of us going through “the change” and even those of us on the tail end of the experience.

    • Also I don’t know for sure but recently my mom was diagnosed as being a diabetic...so I am getting tested for that also. Not eating three regular meals also is not helping either...

    • Gina...

Lack of motivation is hard to overcome especially when you don’t feel good.
But...there is always a “but“..lol..you have to talk to yourself and say...“I’m going to do ONE thing today.” Don’t give yourself more to do than you know you will do.  Just decided on one thing that you will accomplish in one day.  Make it realistic.  And no matter what...do that one thing.  Do that for a week or so...then add two things...and do that for a week or so.

I also found that when I fix my hair, put on makeup and dress up I feel better about ME.

It’s hard to do but you have to make yourself get up and do something.  A nice walk is always good...if you are able to do that. If not...still put one thing on that list to do and do it.  Even if it’s making up your bed...DO SOMETHING.

Like Cynthia said..get those hormones checked out...and give up the sugar.

    • Eva is right that walking helps a lot.  When I was really depressed I could only go for 15 minutes.  I also give myself a daily goal or the days can blur until I feel like never get anything done and get very discouraged.

    • I hear what you are all saying thankyou for the input. I have started bike riding everyday since last week and it seems to clear my head. now I have to educate myself on healthy meals and not just eat one big meal a day...I know thats bad..I just have to get out of what i have been doing in the past. Start fresh..

    • Gina...there is a website that is great out there to help you and motivate you.  It’s called :  www.sparkpeople.com

You can track what you eat...journal...track your weight...etc.  It offers recipes...exercises...and a whole lot more.  FAB40 has a team but right now none of us have been very active on it.  Maybe we will get back to it.  Our member Cynthia Schmidt...has been using it and has lost a lot of weight.

      Check it out...
