Moving On

We all come here out of curiosity and find our own images in each other. We are each strengthened by the knowledge that “I am not alone“, “I am not the only one“, “maybe everybody goes through this“, or even “I can talk about and express this feeling“. We find others here with whom we can commiserate. When the pain stops hurting so much, we take a look and we can see where some of our pain and fear comes from.
Thanks to the many professionals on this site who offer their help so that we all can see these things, understand them, learn to laugh at them and then build toward the future.
I for one have dropped some baggage here. I’ve found strength here and, yes, validation. But this cannot be where it all stops. It’s not enough to recognize that what we felt in the past was right all along. And that we were right to feel those feelings. We have to take this new knowledge and strength and live anew.
Pick up all the feelings, new and old, pack them and let’s move on to the really good part of life that we have held and have been held back from.
I’m tired of overcoming. I overcame already. I want Satan out of my way so I can live. I have things to do.
