Good musical morning, ladies!!!
Whoever thought the words, “Hey, um, Dad, can I call you back? I’m going to go jam with Mom for a little while...” would turn into an opportunity like this?? YEEE HAAAA!!!
I just wanted to share this with you~
My son Chris has been playing drums since age 8, and is now going to be 19 in March.
He’s been trained in big band, symphony, drum corp (3 yrs) and rock. (Also plays guitar) He has applied to the Musicians Institute in California. They’ve called to interview him and have told us that he can attend. YEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!
THAT brought happy tears!!!
That school produces some of the best musicians and instructors in the world.
All that’s left for us to do now is to get the rest of this paperwork in order and find him a dorm or apartment to share.
I’m beside myself about this~ We didn’t think it would be possible. But, it IS.
These things are not just for ‘other people’ to accomplish.

A, it gets him out of this area.
B, attending that school will turn his passion into a real career with serious people who make things happen. Not a garage band in the middle of Wisconsin who never do anything but play in a bar somewhere.
C, he receives an education there doing what he loves like no other place can provide.
D, Chris gets to work using his god given talent & won’t ‘fall through the cracks.’

The other opportunities he will be presented with in attending school there are positively incredible.

This is big. Happy, but, big. We‘re a little overwhelmed, but in good ways of course.

Any prayers about this are hugely appreciated. We’ve been through quite a bit as a family & if anyone deserves this chance, Chris does. Bigtime.

Emotionally yours,
Best regards,
