On my facebook someone made a comment about the month of Oct. being superstitious because it has 5 weeks in it and so on and so on... Yes , I laughed about this, well maybe it was more like a  “snicker“.  Anyway, yesterday when I was making caramel popcorn I was also helping my son with his math homework and relized to late, that I forgot to add the baking soda and the vanilla to the mixture and I couldn’t add it to the already covered popcorn!  Needless to say the popcorn did not taste that great and I was contemplating throwing it in the trash or should I make another batch.  All well helping my son with his homework, and cleaning up at the same time.  Then I grabbed for the Karo’s corn syrup to put away and then it  happened...I dropped the syrup on the floor, it truly slipped from my fingers.  Needless to say glass went everywhere and the syrup was oh so sticky!  (I was surprised the Karos corn syrup was not bottled in a plastic container, and yes the jar was full because how many times do you really use corn syrup-I know, I know, that it is in quite a few of our products that we buy!)  Alright it did take a bit of time to clean this up and I was not happy.  I needed a glass of pepsi now! It then made me think of the day before when I was going to “Mop and Glow” the floor and the product I was using was not the right one!  I kept thinking, this stuff is so watery, and why is it burning my hands?  It was the product I use to clean the toilets!!!!!!!!! Then I really had to clean the floors with a mild “dishsoap” 2x’s because I was so worried.  Well my point is after I cleaned the Karos my sons priority was, “is it ok to walk on the kitchen floor again?”  My thinking was something along the lines of “snickering” at superstitions!
