OMG, my daughter’s wedding was so amazing. I thought I had it together since I was helping her get ready.  I saw her hair and her dress, but nothing prepared me for watching her come around the corner in a horse drawn carriage!!! She looked just like a princess. And I will tell you that girl was as cool as a cucumber, no stress, no freakin out of any kind and the wedding went off without a hitch. The weather was great (the night before it was 90 degrees @ the same time) and she just looked so happy. You know she has had a lot of “bad” boyfriends and you never think anyone is good enough for you kids, but watching the way her husband looked at her made me realize she is in good hands!!!

    • Congratulations.  While I am thankful to be the mother of two great young men, it’s hearing/reading things like that that make me wish...just for a moment...that I had a daughter.  That said, it would probably put my husband in the “poor house” to have a “mini-me” in our lives!

    • Congratulations....glad it all worked out beautifully.

I have been to (2) fun weddings.  My niece’s and a good friend’s daughter’s this past April.

My niece had The Drifters at her reception.....how fun it was.  Talk about shagging....we had a blast.  The music was out of this world.

My good friend’s daughter’s wedding was beautiful...very simple....but beautiful...the reception...was at the Augusta Museum...and it was just electrifying.  They are graduates of Clemson University...and the Clemson Tiger mascot was there....and you would have thought you were at a Clemson football game.  I’m not even a Clemson fan..and I had a fun time.

      Weddings....can be fun......

    • And I forgot to tell you that she dedicated “In My Daughters Eyes” by Martina McBride to me at the reception. It was really special because she really doesn’t like country and I sent her the words and the song when I heard it. It was a total surprise!!!
