Since Christmas, I’ve had a renewed love for deviled eggs. I recall as a child, they were made for every imaginable social affair. My mama would simply make them for us because we enjoyed eating them.
This past Christmas, I prepared deviled eggs as part of our feast. My grandchildren experienced the same delight as I did as a child. In fact, my youngest granddaughter was caught constantly going back for more!
Since this time, I have been on the hunt for egg platters. About 2 weeks ago, I found them! I bought the last two that were on the shelf.
I plan to make deviled eggs for Resurrection Sunday and display them on my new egg platters. Oh yes, I’ll make plenty of extras!
Cute platters! I used to have a wonderful Tiaraware egg platter that I got as a wedding present. Somewhere over the years it disappeared.
When my kids were little I made deviled eggs for every pot luck and social gathering we went to. (Since I had chickens, I always had eggs so it was CHEAP to take). And I never brought any eggs back home. In fact my kids often complained because the eggs were gone by the time they got thru the line.
Now that I have chickens again, we‘re eating lots more eggs. I think I’ll make a little trip to the thrift shop tomorrow and see if I can find some egg plates.
