So really depending on who you are this could be funny or not.....

My 1st night in my house was spent sleeping on the floor since our furniture was going to arrive the next day. No big deal, right?
Wrong!
Here I am peaceful and all happy being in my new home laying in my sleeping bag reading the news on my crackberry. Suddenly I FEEL this very light whisper move along my back... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? I jump up and turn on the light and there it was..... THE NATIVE!
I go running like a sissy yelling and screaming... here comes my husband wondering what is going on.
It was fast, big, ugly, brown and flew with the speed od superman. WHAT WAS THAT THING? My husband poo pooed me and said it was just a June Bug that came in while we were unloading some stuff.

HAVE I MENTIONED THAT I HAVE BUG PHOBIA? What am I doing in TN? Oh my.....

Well my husband caught the creepy thing and flushed it down out toilet. No of course I wouldn’t use that toilet for a few days.

Well calm returned and no signs of any creepy’s anywhere. Afterall the previous owners told me they had a regular spray from Terminix.

WELL last night my SS started screaming like a sissy. Oh how I could relate to his tone.
Sure enough another creepy came to welcome us.

So now I am waiting for the Terminix guy to get here and deliver me some peace!

    • LOL!! I had some HUGE bug fall on me outside that resort where we had dinner. He hit my hat, but I didn’t find him and assumed he fell to the ground. Then when Mark and I went to the grocery, he starts beating on my shoulder-cuz that’s where the bug was!! EW!!! I hate them too.

I have a flyswatter on the patio and the bug spray right inside the door. they do not stand a chance if I am near.

    • Yuck! The bug man came and signed me up for a monthly contract....  I usually can turn down a salesman or at least haggle a bit but not when it comes to bugs.
He seemed so casual about it too. Like you only seen 2 thats no big deal. EEEEEEEWWWWWWW!!!!!!!
Yes it is! Northern bred and raised people only deal with creepy’s if their house is either next door to a resturant or ...well... you know not so clean....yuck!

So I am on the plan starting MONDAY.... help me thru the weekend!

    • LOL, Vikki!!

Where I lived in Indy, they had what some call "hopping spiders" but their real name is camelback crickets. They are horrible; they look like they cam from another era. Not poisonous but just awful!!

Lovebug, i have always heard about wolf spiders, TG never have seen one!!

    • Vikki, I hate to tell you this but MI has wolf spiders.  I lived in Troy and had a field behind my house.  They got in a couple of times.  I had to run to the neighbors and have their son kill them for me.

With my Lupus, I normally don’t move that fast, but honey I went jumping across that patio SCREAMING at the top of my lungs!! Hubby came running out to see what was wrong and when I told him, he laughed so hard at me, I thought he would wet himself! LOL
I told him that from now on I would do my night smoking in the house!!!

      I’m with you girl...I DON‘T DO BUGS!!!!

    • This is all so funny!  I grew up in the D.C. area. We lived in apartments until I was 8 and my parents bought a house.  All the apartments had cockroaches.  I hated them and was scared to death of them but, mind you, they were wee small little things.  When I moved out at 19 and got my own apartment I forgot all about bugs until one night I came in late and turned on the wall light only to see a HUMONGO, as Lu calls it, cockroach scurry across the floor.  The sucker was at least 4 inches long.  SCREAMMMMMMM!!!!!!  I can handle just about anything other than a friggin bug.

We moved here from Michigan when I was thirteen, and like Vicki said, I had never really been bothered by them up north, so I didn’t have any big aversion to them.

One night, though, I saw one of those palmetto bugs high up on the wall near the ceiling. So I grabbed a shoe and dragged a chair over beneath it, planning to kill and get rid of it before it made it down the hall to my bedroom.

Just about the time I reached out with the shoe to squash it, the damn thing spread its wings and flew right at my face!!! Who knew they flew??

It’s a wonder I didn’t break my neck falling off the chair and hurtling my body down the hall.

    • MissU, oooooh, those are awful! We went on vacation in PCB, FL a  couple of years ago, there was a dead on in the oven (I immediately threw out the cinn rolls I was baking!) then Mark shoved me out of the way as one prepared to launch from the overhead light fixture.

Yeah, FM, when they fly and you aren’t expecting it....shudder.

I am sure there are more adventures to experience I just don’t know them yet!
