Hello everyone!  Well, I came to Philadelphia to the Green Expo and I encourage all of you to attend one.  If you don’t make a ton of changes, the enlightenment alone is simply rewarding.

While I attending the one in Washington, DC in October, I enjoyed this one more because it was not as many people so I was able to enjoy the time with my mom and nephew and talk to the vendors and ask questions.  If there is one in your area, it is great to go to one in the very beginning.  When it is crowded...there is excitement but the stress of the people.

So...I reacquainted myself with some vendors that were in Washington, but looked to create relationships for my new website that will allow me to sell items on the Internet create another stream of income.  So I am waaaaay excited.

I asked my nephew and mother what they learned and it was cool.  My nephew and mother both said that the anything can be recycled and reused.  Recycled cotton for clothing, elephant dung for paper products, tire rubber for insulation, and so much more!  I am excited that they received so much out of it.

So I am going to do my part and look for recycled/reused items that I can use.  Have you used anything that was recycled or reused in the last 18 months?

The other thing that was cool, some people had items that could be used for multiple reasons by multiple people.  Like a folder from a sustainable printing company.  It just has the word Sustainable on the front cover...so it could be used again and again but more than just me.  That was kinda cool.  Have you used or are you using items that are sustainable?

I made some wonderful connections that will help me continue to help you and others to live green and help the Earth.

Are you interested in a free green teleclass?

L. Denise

    • I would love a green teleclass. I am thinking of attending the big conference in Boston for safe cosmetics and personal products.

bernadette : if you go to :  thebudgetecoist.com and search for green cleaning or bathroom green cleaning, they have a great page on cleaning solutions that are completely safe. ( things like mixing baking soda and castile soap......)

    • Wanted to let you gals know that there is a great article ( along with recipes ) for green cleaning in Real Simple this month. Toothpaste and baking soda do amazing things!  ( I NEVER buy magazines, I usually read them at the library, but this one was worth buying for me.....)

Why have we been using toxic chemicals for so long ????
