Ok, ladies I need to vent.

I am so sick and tired of my husband thinking he is his family’s savior. He actually approached me about helping a family member prevent foreclosure on their SECOND home. Not their primary residence. I sat there with my mouth opened.

I asked him, how are you going to ask me to help so and so and we dont have enough money to pay our own bills.

Now if this was their primary residence, I would feel differently. But not for a second home.

Ladies I was proud of myself. Instead of going off on him like I normally do, I told  him, I appreciate you consulting me. But you are going to do what you want to do any way so it does not matter what I think. And I changed the subject. He was not expecting that from me - Ha Ha!

I decided to put it in God’s hands. Because I am so tired of being sick and tired of him thinking he is his family’s savior.

Thanks for listening ladies!

    • I totally understand your frustration Leadinglady, how dare he or that family member to even ask or expect such a thing when everyone is struggling financially in these tough times, some people need to do better with their own finances, my family has been trying to get under my skin as wel labout my brother amongst other things too but just like you did I took a stand so KUDOS to you my friend.

    • I think it's bad that family members actually approach him so he feels the responsibility of "saving" them ...... why didn't this person knowing there was trouble try to sell the other house before things got so bad .... maybe they thought your hubby would pull another rabbit out of his hat ?
Good for you for speaking up – wonder if all these people he has helped in the past would step in for you so quickly?
