Okay....I’ve been a slacker!! I’ve slacked on my blogging but in my defense I have not felt great the month of January. I got some crazy upper respiratory mess that literally put me in the bed for (6) days. My husband had it for that long too. It was awful and it drained all of my energy. But...I’m better and now ready to really tackle my new exercise regime.
As of yesterday (Sat. Jan 29th) I have lost 50lbs since November 9th. Other than the upper respiratory thingy I had I feel fantastic! I am losing but I’m definitely not eating enough food. My doctor and dietician would not be happy with me but it’s still a full time job to eat.
I do not ever get what I would say “hungry” and I have to remind myself to eat my meals and snacks. There is nothing I really crave food wise except I still do crave chocolate but even if I take one bite of it...that is all I can handle.
I’ve decided that I’m a “five bite” girl. I eat about five bites of whatever and then I’m done. I still have not gotten throw up sick. But when I do eat something that doesn’t agree with me I just start feeling really bad and I have to lay down for about 15 minutes until it passes. I’ll take that side effect over throwing up or dumping as they call it in the “gastric bypass world“.
Going to get on the band wagon with my exercise. I have been walking early in the morning about 5:15am but I don’t walk far enough or long enough. So tomorrow when I get off from work I’m heading up to the Family Y to get with the program.
I’ve had members come into my office that had not been in since before my surgery and at first think I’m someone NEW...one because they don’t recognize me and second I changed offices. I had two different men to go into disbelief that it was me. One man said, “are you wearing your hair different?“.. I just laugh and say “yes and I’ve lost 50lbs.” He then says, “well I thought you looked lighter“...lol
But here are my pics..I’ll post the one from before my surgery, the next one is at 40lbs. and the last one is 50lbs.

50 lbs more? Don’t be crazy now, I think if you lose 25 maybe 30 lbs, you will be just right.
You don’t want to be size 2, right? You don’t want all of us to hate you for it right??? LOL

Yana....If I lose 50 more then I will still be about 20lbs heavier than I was when I got married...ummmm...almost 27 years ago?? LOL
So 50 is do-able. And I won’t be a size 2 ..don’t I wish!
Vicki: I told my husband last night that I almost would just rather not eat because I feel better when I DON‘T EAT...but I know I have too. Some things do not bother me as far as making me feel bad such as.....my half of lunch size portion of chicken fajitas with no beans, no rice, and no tortillas. Just chicken and vegetables.
And for some odd reason I am able to eat this spaghetti at this little Italian eatery. I would have thought the noodles would bother me but for some reason they do not. Of course...I am eating about half of a lunch size portion...if that. I do well with salads....which I’m happy about.
Breads, high carb foods do not agree with me. So I stay away from all of that.
Eating high protein, low carb is definitely the way to lose weight.

Vicki: Yes...hubby has lost about 20lbs. We are getting to where we share a meal when we go out to dinner which is GREAT!
And I do feel better! Can’t wait for the spring and summer when I get outside and really exercise and do some things that I have not been able to do in quite a while.
There will be no bikini....(will need a plastic surgeon for that..LOL) but there will be an awesome new one piece...now...just to find it!!
