I to talk about my young men. With my oldest dealing with the economy,he had a job interview with a graphic design co.(keep fingers crossed). He’s working at a pizza place for now,he’s always saying that he wishes he could be like his “lil” brother.Alex graduated in(07),Josh in(08)Josh is going to college, for Radiology. Alex is always telling me that he hasn’t accomplished ANYTHING, and that his “lil” brother will be making the “BIG BUCKS” in the long run.
I tell him that it’s NOT all about the money. Money DOES NOT make YOU HAPPY, and as long as you do for yourself, be HAPPY and CONTENT IN YOUR LIFE,then you will do good in your life. He has gone thru alot growing up(emotionally), my ex was abusive,(thats why I left my ex) and then Alex was diagnose with ADHD and then just ADD. I tell him that he has accomplished alot for what he has gone thru. Josh is very proud of Alex and even though they have their brotherly moments,I tell them they are each others BEST FRIENDS..So I‘M SO PROUD of them and they are MY LIFE and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH...

    • Sometimes our kids just need to KNOW that we love them unconditionally. We know it’s a given that we will. But with all the things facing kids these days they need more encouragement and support than we ever did.

You are an awesome Mom for changing their situation (and yours). I bet there were some challenges. Some still lurking around. Just keep doing what your doing.

    • Alex and Josh are very lucky to have such a wonderful mom. I imagine that YOU are their rock, always there for them and supporting them in all they do and all they are. It sounds like you have a very close and loving relationship with your boys, they must really love and adore their mom! I, too, have 2 boys that I adore and try to always make sure they know I support each one of them with their endeavors, even through the bumpy ones (and we’ve had challenging bumps). It’s hard sometimes with one or the other but we always manage to work through it together. With all you and your boys may have endured, it sounds like you’ve done a great job grounding your family and bond. Keep up the good work, a mother’s love is absolutely everything!
