I bought a VitaMix about 7 years ago.  At the time my cholesterol was high, 237.  I started to make fruit smoothies daily and loved them so much.  My sons drank them as well.  I use fresh bananas, apple, vanilla yogurt, apple juice, frozen strawberries and pineapple, and ice.  You can also put in any other fruit you have on hand, melons, cherries, kiwi fruit.  I rechecked my cholesterol in 6 weeks and my cholesterol was now at 191!  It dropeed 46 points in just 6 weeks.  I still use my VitaMix, but not every day.  I have turned my friends on to it as well, and even one has purchased one to make the fruit smoothies.  My husband makes fresh salsa in it weekly, which is also very healthy.

Any others out there use this high powered blender?
