Not a Typical Saturday Morn....



I am always saying that I have a boring life with nothing exciting happening...but that all changed this morning...
One minute I am sitting at my computer and drinking my coffee and the next I am looking out my window and witnessing a raid at my neighbors house...About 5 fully dressed in combat fatigue rushed passed my little yard into my neighbors house...My brother who is visiting happened to be standing at the door had a small high-powered firearm pointed at him.

I am so shaken up I still can’t stop shaking...I tell you as soon as I can I am moving out of this complex...It is getting too close to home.

I am not sure what is happening...all I know is that it is drug related as the neighbors had been given an eviction notice a couple of weeks ago and their little girl had been apprehended by Child Protection Services...I am so glad she wasn’t there...I can only imagine how terrified she’d have been.

This area has always been bad...it is often referred to as the ghetto...I have always had the attitude that as long as I don’t get involved and mind my own business I will be ok...but this mornings events proves that to be wrong...I may not be directly involved but it does have an impact on me and my family.

I guess it is time to start looking elsewhere to live...a more safe and secure environment...I know this could happened anywhere...but living here just makes the odds greater.

This is sure not a typical Saturday Morn.
