I recently posted a link to very very short vlog on Facebook...after discovering these two ladies who run a mid-life site.....and take great pride in saying it’s okay to hate your teenage children, elders, et al.

Really???? I love having this community and down the street girlfriends with whom I can share and whine and learn......but “HATE” my children and elders????????? HATE MY CHILDREN??????????

And these ladies are getting spots on morning news shows and other places I’d like to be but you know what? If their message of bitchiness and hate gets them on the air.....well, I’m not lowering myself to that.....I’m not pretending otherwise.....just to get some more PR.

Would you? What do you think?

Oh, here’s what I put on FB:

Just found what I thought might be “competition” of mine as I delve into (writing and vlogging about) midlife topics—but then I saw they like to bitch about hating their teenage children (among others). And whose fault is that, ladies? I so totally enjoy my children’s company! Here’s one uber brief example :)

    • I heart my daughter too!  How can these people think it’s okay to hate your family?!

    • I love spending time with my teenagers too.  I don’t love all their attitudes, but that just comes with the teen years.  They are bright funny wonderful people and I treasure every minute I get to spend with them, even when I’m stuck listening to their music.

    • About 15 years ago I went to lunch with a co worker. She was the nicest woman I’ve ever met, kind, carrying and very happy. We started talking about kids, and the first thing she said was: “If I had to do it again, I would never have children“. I was in such a shock I couldn’t get over it.

It amazes me when people say such things.

I LOVE when my house is full of kids and their friends. When they are all gone I have a hard time staying home in a quite house. estatic
