Dieting ‘makes you look older’
Dieting can make your face look older, new research claims.

3:43PM BST 31 Mar 2009

A study has found that losing as little as 10lbs, the equivalent of about one dress size, can age a woman by four years.

Meanwhile, having plump cheeks and soft features helps maintain an air of youth, scientists discovered.

Researcher Dr Bahaman Guyuron said: “A BMI higher by four points was found to result in a younger appearance of between two and four years in women over 40 years old.”

In some cases, this meant that a difference in weight of as little as 10lbs added four years to a woman’s appearance, the Plastic and Reconstructive Journal reported.
