Forgive me for writing two post in one day. I am cleaning the house and it hit me... I had to stop in my tracks.

What if... we can get entered in a contest each time we post a blog. The  winning prize is a Merry Maid certificate or whoever your local maid service is in your area.

That way we can keep talking to one another and our housework  wil get done and we  will not feel guilty. As a bonus ,we never have to tell our husbands the difference...

What do you think? I am trying to think of ways to hold on to my addiction. Isn’t that what addicts do?

Now, I have to go back to housework. Dang IT!!!

    • I hate housework! I live in a monstrousity of a house that’s old and it belongs to the school my husband works for. I scrub and scrub and this darn house never really looks clean to me.

When my husband is relaxing on the couch and I’m cleaning around him he has the nerve to ask, “what are you doing, sweetie?” I just tell him it’s the maid’s day off so I have to do all this myself.

He either doesn’t get the hint or chooses not to respond.

      Calgon, take me away!!

    • Darla, I hope I understand you right.  I am still on just my 1st cup of a.m. coffee.  If you like to provide prize or service for a drawing, I think you can coordinate with Yana or whoever she has already set up... why I said this, for I notice on Home page, towards the bottom, there is a monthly drawing.... Ohhhh, I am mumbling..more coffee ....

    • ChinaDoll,

Go grab that second cup of coffee.

I am not wanting to provide it, I want to  win it. Haha
Maybe that can be the monthly drawing.

Gotta Love ChinaDoll, You crack me up!

    • Great idea Darla! (although since Merry Maid probably don’t have international services I won’t be able to enjoy it...)

I see my addiction as a way to stay fit.  I keep my laptop in my bedroom upstairs, so that when I have a minute to spare I need to climb the stairs before I can join you.  Then I have about 28 seconds before I hear the next “Mommyyyyyy!!!!“, and down I go again. It’s much more rewarding than a stairmaster.

    • I would LOVE someone to come clean my place - even once a week!  I live in a small condo, but I’ve outgrown it and so the clutter in places is just over-whelming right now...  Actually, I wish I could afford someone to come in and help me organize!  Now I think I’ll go make that FIRST cup of coffee....

    • Merlot, smart move on your part. I could try that but my problem is I got to get up first, for the up and down the stairs to work for me. haha

Enjoy them while they are young. They grow up so fast!

    • Sorry to burst your bubble, Darla, but I have tried MM and a few others and let me just say, that they will NEVER clean your home better than YOU!  I have come to the conclusion that they just don’t CARE enough about your house to clean it to YOUR satisfaction.  Why would they, really?  Think about it:  it’s just a paycheck to them. Should they really do all that back-breaking work for you and KNOW that you aren’t too pleased and possibly, STILL ungrateful.  Yeah.  I should be grateful AND pay for EFFORT?!!  Oh.  I don’t THINK so!

    • Never mind cleaning my house, I’m never home! I have to clean the Services today. We have a presentation and tour on Sunday and we can’t find anyone to come in and clean consistently. I don’t think we have Merry Maids here, but if we did, I’d enter for Family Life Services!

    • I have never tried the Merry Maid type, but had a cleaning lady (only twice) at our previous home when I was working full-time.  Let me tell you...it felt wierd at first but was really, REALLY wonderful!  She was a one-woman cleaning dynamo.  All the floors done by hand, door frames dusted, top of the fridge (frightening) spotless, and every where else!  Hotel corners on the beds and even the toilet paper!  She was phenomenal.  So maybe not a chain-y service, but a good, local cleaning lady.  Maybe even just on occasion...I do live with 3 men (okay, one’s off at college) and two dogs....so being the only chick in the coop sometimes gets a little frustrating.  No one has the same version of clean and orderly as I do.  Except that wonderful cleaning lady in Illinois!  Wonder if she’d commute......
