If you are in Canada, Monday is Thanksgiving Day! That is a very special time for us, as women, to celebrate and give thanks, for all of the wonderful blessings that fill our lives so fully.

Perhaps for some women, there does not seem to be a whole lot to celebrate this year. Life is not always a bed of roses. Those who think it is, may be out of touch with reality, or so it may seem.

Women who are waiting for life to be perfect, so that they can celebrate or give thanks, may have to wait a really long time. Those who are waiting to get rich, may have to wait forever too.

We don’t have to have perfect lives, in order to celebrate life and give thanks. Nor do we have to be rich. Sure, it can be a bit easier, when we have relatively perfect lives and are financially secure. But in reality, most women don’t have perfect lives and are not all that wealthy, believe it or not.

Even those who appear to have perfect lives and are rich, are not necessarily happy, even though it seems that they should be!

If you look at your own life, you can find at least one thing to be thankful about today. Looking closer at your life, you are probably going to find a few more reasons to celebrate too. In fact, you will find one thing after another, once you start looking!

Whatever you choose to magnify in your life, is what is going to get larger and larger. Magnify the good aspects of your life, not the ones that are not so good.

There are a lot of things that you can change in your life, if you make a serious attempt to do so. Sometimes being unhappy about something, can be a blessing in its own way,  because it moves you to take action to change, or improve it.

Everyday, whether it is Thanksgiving Day or not, wherever you are, give thanks for at least one thing. Celebrate life! Perhaps you just received a smile from a little child, or a letter from a young niece. Maybe you found a penny on the sidewalk, or someone gave you a gift of some kind?

You will be totally astounded, when you begin to realize how many things in your life are actually blessings, in one way or another. Sometimes, they come as blessings in disguise.

Look at even the negative aspects of your life, in a positive light, if you possibly can. If something is not right, fix it, or find someone who can help you. Even if you don’t get it fixed, mended or repaired, you may have found a new friend.

You can celebrate your life, whether or not you have anyone there with you. You do not necessarily need to have another person in your life, to celebrate life or give to thanks. It can be more fun when you do have others there with you! Take advantage of every possible opportunity.

Life itself is truly wonderful and something to celebrate and give thanks for, if you see it that way. Don’t you love celebrations? Always remember to give thanks and teach others to do the same! Happy Thanksgiving from Canada!
