What if one word could shift your perspective and change your life?  It can, I know this is true because it happened to me. This was a few years ago during a financial crisis in my electrical business. The economy was taking one of its hits and I was just beginning my coach training. Not yet ready to give up one business for another! I was in a doom and gloom mood when I had a session with my coach. I am a great believer that we can all benefit from having a coach. We don't need to wait for the sky to fall; as Chicken Little says, because there is so much potential for growth at any phase of our life.

Growing into my full potential with my coach was rewarding. We had worked together for a time when I came to this particular session. She knew me very well and all the work I was doing in my life when I said to her: "My life is falling apart." I said it with such assurance that I absolutely knew it to be true! Or at least that is what I thought in that moment. As is in all coaching my perspective was challenged. She said to me: "Judith, your life is falling together."  This brought me up short. Falling together never even occurred to me. It was rather like falling up instead of down. Was this even possible?

This made me think and think big!!!! As it goes with all coaching it took me a few days to process what she had said. When I truly saw the genius in her words I was able to shift out of doom and gloom and look for what might be possible. This enabled me to go through a bit if a letting go phase that helped me to know that life often takes quick turns and if we are able to hug the curve the ride will be smoother.

I did hug the curve and I opened up new doors to what was possible. I did change my life in so many ways and the electrical business decided to hang in there without me worrying about it unnecessarily. Today when I feel that old familiar feeling of doom and gloom I take heart in knowing that I can change one simple word in a sentence, to change my life. Why not give this word change a try? It is a simple concept that works! You can work with it on your own or hire a coach to give you a little boost.
