Warning! You are about to have another insider’s view of my brain.

I suppose not everyone processes in snippets of song lyrics and song titles but I often do. I think it comes from being raised by a second grade teacher.

This week I jotted down the songs as they popped into my head while listening to and participating in conversations around our house here at Fab40.

Maybe it will be obvious to you when I was reading about Lu’s mom, when I was listening to Tracy be really pissed off and then listening about what living with MS is like for her.

You might recognize the cluster of conversations with Kathryn about piano and when she was wringing her hands over finances and I didn’t have any good advice for her.

You might see me struggling to authentically speak of my faith without pissing anyone off.

I know it will be obvious when Deb and I realized we were twins and when Jenni was describing her dating life. And I bet you recognize when Coco sent out her message that things were pretty strange for her.

Can you tell when I learned that Tracy likes my favorite composer and when Robin and I ran into each other in the chat club?

Do you know what I was singing to the computer scren as I was waiting for part 2 of Cindy’s story and then found out it may not be coming any time real soon?

I know MJ will recognize many PMs. You’ll see me worrying about Angela and you’ll see me overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity.

You’ll see Vikki cheering for Lisa not to give up and you might recognize the wise words of Vicki the UK girl so often found where they‘re most needed.

You’ll see me looking at all of the pictures and thinking how we do love us some pets and grand babies!

You’ll be able to tell when Safari started me thinking about my man and you’ll know when I was thinking about my ex- man.

How about Lisa’s week and how much Marie loves her boys?

These are the songs I thought about when we talked about creativity and where women create and when I found out that Daphne’s daughter loves zebra print too.

These are the conversations of our house.

And this is my Mother’s Day gift to you.

Whether or not you have children- this is a house full of nurturers and nurturing is the very essence of who we are as women.  This house is proof of that.

I don’t know why I keep thinking of this house in song lyrics-
maybe I’m amazed.

And maybe that’s why every time my husband calls I say “Give me just a little more time!”

There are so many impressions of you and expressions of my time with you here that you’ll be bored to tears if I list them all.  If you want the code for this play list I’ll send it to you.

Happy Mother’s Day.
