*Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV)*

As I have spent this weekend with my grand daughter who is only 4 years old but wise beyond her years it just blows my mind away. She is such a delight to be around and she is truly her Nana’s baby. Even though she loves her parents and her other grand mother dearly she favors being with and spending time with me and my hubby the most. Yes we all spoil her in a good way but I guess it’s something more she gains from my hubby and I that makes her want to be with us more.
As I watch her sleep I am so reminded as to how precious she is and how innocent she is a baby. yes she may be smart as well as wise, but yet she is still a baby! It just blows me away at some of the conversations we have and she knows what she is saying when you talk to her and on top of it all she uses big words, that are bigger than she is in stature.
And what is also so amazing about her and her vocabulary is that she knows how to place the words in her sentences, WOW!ohhhhhappyshe is something.

Another thing that gets me with her is how she freely talks about death and dying. Just the other day when she and I were on our way to the store she spoke of my brother who passed away last year. I didn’t think she remembered, but she did. But before she got to him she asked me about caskets, but she could‘nt remember the correct name for them but she said in her words “Nana what are those boxes people lay in when they are dead?” It was a trip because I didn’t know where the conversation was going so I told her, then she brought up my deceased brother.

She asked me if babies or little kids died? I told her yes she wanted to know how and why, boy did she throw me for a loop, but I explained to her how all people die from all kinds of things at any time there is no set time for death. She asked me if she was going to die and I told her yes one day we‘re all going to die when God has decided that our time here on earth is up he will determine when that time will come because he is our Creator and He knows our beginning and our ending.

She has also asked me about my gray hair thinking that only old people died and she thought that I was going to die soon and leave her. Man was I ever on the edge of my seat at the things she was saying to me, I reassured her it wasn't going to be any time soon as long as I knew and that God was still working on me. Then she turned the conversation back over to my deceased brother. She told me she remembered his funeral service and how she remembered me crying and how I spoke at his service. I asked her "why was she thinking of him?" She said "because she knew I missed him" WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! the tears began to form in my eyes, but I held them back she is so smart and can feel my spirit a lot of times when I'm sad or going through something. Kids are sooooooooooo amazing. I told her yes I did miss him and that I'm sure to see him again on the other side of heaven. She took my hand held it and told me she loved me infinity times infinity. And guess what? The tears began to flow down my face, there is nothing more special than to have a baby, a child tell you they love you that much! What does she know about infinity? I tell you she is something else and God knows how much I love her, infinity times infinity lol.

We got to the store and shopped and went back home and enjoyed the evening playing games and watching her favorite programs on Nick Jr.
