Love it

I was just commenting on my other blog about shopping at thriftshops when it occurred to me that a great deal of my happiness in life has resulted from giving to others. Passing on a kindness that has been shown to you is so rewarding... A feeling that cannot be bought or sold. Some folks out there honestly despise giving anything away or helping others because they think they are encouraging dependency... Have heard this from boyfriends and ex-husbands lol. But I would love to hear how my fab40 friends, current and future, have paid it forward. Did you feel awesome? Do you look for opportunities or just wait until the opportunity presents itself? Let’s all do something to pay it forward over the next little bit and blog about it. Would love to hear from you!

    • Sonya...I am BIG into helping others and paying it forward! It makes me feel good and then I know I am helping someone else out.  I do this a lot just at my desk at work but I have people contact me all the time asking me to find this or find that for someone who is need.  And I do.

I shop thrift stores, yard sales, consignment shops all the time.  My purchases is more than likely helping someone else and when I give things to others I am then helping that person as well.

This coming Saturday is 2nd Sat at our church.  Church members go out into the community and help at different designated areas with different projects.  WE do this once a month from 8-12.  This ministry has helped so many people.

I can’t even begin to list the projects I have worked on...but I try to pay it forward daily!!

    • I too try to pay it forward daily. Sometimes it’s just a smile or a hello and other times it’s been gift giving. I do ot just because it feels good and you never know when your contribution big or small has just made someone’s day.

    • I think that is awesome. I feel that when you give a little something of yourself, whether it be your time, items, smiles, hugs, etc it is all relevant. The beautiful part is that what is gained from those gestures has the potential to heal a broken heart, make someones life just a little easier, and it keeps people connected. In this world of Internet and fast food, which I like both and would not have met these amazing women I have connected with if it had not been for, it is personable. It brings a warmth that comes from the human connection. Bravo! Thank you for sharing! Made my dayhappy

    • I’m a pay it forwarder as well it does my heart, mind, soul and spirit to do so with no attatched agendas. I just helped out a friend who had nothing and blessed her with my old livingroom furniture as well as my old full bedroom set she was so grateful and I gave her some decoratives things to fix up the rest of her livingroom. I love making other’s happy in that way when I can.
