Hi..
Are any of you experiencing peri meno or pre menopausal symptoms? If so, what are they?
I think I might be. I don’t know. All I DO know is I feel overwhelmed by it, sort of scared, a lil mad and NOT ready.
I woke up the night before last with night sweat- My face was WET! And now I feel like I’m going to get my monthly cycle and PMS-ish. I don’t really get much of a perod anymore as I had a surgery 5 yrs ago. Sorry if this is TMI... I’m worried. frown

    • To be honest those are pretty much the same symptoms I’m having without the overwhelmed , scared  bit I have turned into a psychotic trucker mouth bitch.

Anything which I deem off the mark I’m on it - cyclists running red lights  or pedestrian crossings get a side swipe the handbag - men barging around they get the handbag - other than that all is calm in the world

    • @ Vicki...LOL (ok, not REALLY funny, just laughing at the way you put it!happy).  I can really relate to the being irritable.

Jenz, I started having night sweats which carried into day sweats.  So, I went to my Dr. and was put on hormones.  That really helped with the sweats but not so much for the being irritated easily part.  I had an ovary removed in my early 40’s and my period just pretty much stopped.  Haven’t had one in years (and don’t miss em!).

I would go visit your Dr. and get a check-up and explain to him/her what your experiencing.  I notice that I tend to get irritable rather easily.  A friend suggested I try Paxil which I did but I didn’t notice any change being on it or off it so I quit taking it all together and just take the hormes.

    • I’ve been having symptoms for a couple years.  Occassional hot flashes just before it’s that time of the month.  Once in awhile I’ll have night sweats, but not often.  But boy oh boy can I ever relate to the irritability!  My poor husband is so ready for this phase to be over!

    • Im not irritable.
Im just a lil freaked outby irreg periods and the night sweat thing that happened the other night... Im so not ready for this stuff.
ESPECIALLY in the stages of a new r-ship. Is this fair? NOOOOO

Anyway, Im calling Doc in the morning for a checkup n taking it from there. Hope it’s all minor nothing-ness and Im just overthinking as usual.
      xo!

    • I tend to agree with Eva that it’s a rite of passage for women. We did our thing of having and raising children or having the option to. For me, it was a new freedom. (And I saved money when it was all over with.) I found being physically active helped me and I missed out on the irritability or over sensitive thing.

And Jenz, this isn’t bad timing for a new relationship at all. How he handles it will let you know what he’s made of. ;oD

    • He doesnt really know the ‘deets.’ I cant share them til I know what they are. haha Then Ill still be selective for a bit until it becomes necessary to spill them, if that happens. :D
I DO know though, that if he sees I don’t feel well, he has definitely passed THAT test. estatic

Thanks so much for the input, everyone. xoxo!
