Today I am very sore!

Yesterday, I had my second (and last) free session with my physical trainer and did she work me!

After we were done, she informed me that I did two workouts today!!  WHAT?  Boy, do I feel it today.

My first session was lower body (at my request).  Yesterday was upper.

Although the obvious downsizing is needed below, yesterday reminded me how much strength building I need in my upper body.

Today there was a Tai Chi class that I’m really interested in doing but, had too much to do and decided to pass on it this week.  Even though I’m so sore from yesterday, Tai Chi would be the only thing I would even consider doing because of the slower, stretch motions involved.  Anything else would be completely out of the question.

She broke up my workouts into four sections.  I’ll have to really go over them tomorrow when I go.

One is to be done each time I go with one of the other three.  I thought that was good so if I go 3x’s a week, I’ll have a different routine for each day.

Last night I took a really hot bubble bath and I’m not really sure how much it helped??  Also have been taking a couple of Ibuprofen a couple times a day.  Your guess is as good as mine as to whether or not either one works.  All I know, I still hurt!

My guess is it will take a couple of weeks for this bod to stop rebelling to being taken care of.  It’s been a LONG time since any attention as been paid to them there muscles.  I recon they’d much rather be left alone.

I’ll keep you ladies updated on my painful journey.

Jean

PS
For my own record and so I can come back to compare:

Date   - 4/12/10
Age - 52
Weight - 185 lbs.
Height - 5“4’
BMI - WAY too high! BMI goal - 29

    • You‘re doing great! I don’t know about anything thAT TAKES THE SORENESS OUT. i STILL GET SORE AFTER SOME WORKOUTS And I have been going pretty consistantly.

We have a team for Fab40 over on sparkpeople (look at my blog today for the link) and they have great trackers there. One of the biggest things I found after being tracking for a while was that I eat too many carbs (even the good ones) and I don’t get enough veggies. I wasn’t getting enough fruit either but now I am.
I look forwards to watching your journey on here!

    • Thanks so much, Ladies!

Vikki, I was using SparkPeople about a year ago and then stopped.  Honestly, I totally forgot about them.  Thanks for the reminder & I’ll head over there & check them out again.

      Jean
