Well I just moved to TN about 8 mos ago and recently found out that we may have to move to the Memphis area. I will get over it eventually but in the meantime I need to finish some things up in my house here before I put it on the market.
Some of you may have read my blog about the wallpaper in my bathroom and how aweful it was to remove it. It got removed but created some wall damage in the process.
I am one of those people who can see past what is and see what can/will be. So when looking at a house I focus on the flow and structure vs cosmetics.
This house has some hideous wallpaper in the dining room, living room and kitchen. I either need to remove it or prime over it and paint it. (Hey thats what the previous owner did in my bathroom). I feel like that may be cheating. But on top of the walls I need to do a few other things. I don’t mind spending a few dollars on fixing up things to sell. But how much is realistic? We met a realtor in passing and was just talking in general terms. It was at her invite, not us seeking her out. We had bought all new stainless steel appliances when we moved in. We will leave with the house if the offer is good. The realtor said we should just expect to lose the cost of the appliances ($8000) or take them out altogether. Now tell me how can you live in a house with no appliances? I have no intention of buying cheap and leave them here. It all depends on what we find when we buy a new house.
There is just so much.....

Grrrrrr......
